Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LICSW
A successful relationship with a therapist can help you lead a more fulfilling life. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and I work with individuals, couples and families to help improve communication, alleviate depression, anxiety, grief and process the stress we face when starting or ending relationships, when becoming parents and parenting or when having professional challenges. I bring nearly 20 years of clinical experience to my work as well as a non-judgmental ear and a calm, compassionate and direct style.
One of my specialties is working with parents and families. I compassionately guide parents to care for themselves so they may lead their family toward health and well-being. I support parents to find solutions to the many complicated parenting challenges. I work with all family members to build understanding, empathy and communication skills.
I also work individually with older adolescents and young adults.
My style is flexible and I mainly rely on solution-focused and cognitive behavioral techniques to assist clients in addressing their challenges. When appropriate, I also help clients learn more about themselves and their relationships by utilizing some insight-oriented, family-systems and psychodynamic techniques.
