Services

Individual Therapy

I work with individuals to relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression. Individuals may be experiencing school or job-related stress, challenges in their relationships and/or are struggling with transitions to adulthood, parenthood, or feelings of grief and loss.

I see individuals ages 11 and up and if indicated, I collaborate with schools, primary care, and community supports to link the youth and their family to appropriate services and supports.

Parent Support

I work with couples that are transitioning to parenthood, are challenged by the ongoing demands of modern parenthood or are struggling to parent a child with mental health challenges or special needs.

I assess communication patterns and relationship satisfaction and work with the couple to recognize each other’s emotional needs and preferences. I support couples to find again or increase their intimate connection. Turning toward each other to strengthen your partnership, can allow parents to be more connected in meaningful ways to their children.

Family Therapy

I see families with children ages 11 and older to improve daily communication skills, or to process grief from a loss or traumatic event or to create understanding within the family of one or more family member’s mental health.  I also work with families who have lost a member to suicide or are recovering from one family member’s attempt to harm themselves.

A major theme of family therapy is to recognize and honor the emotional experience of the youth or parents in relation to family relationships and functioning, youth success in school, sports, social connections and/or future plans. Often times, family members that are interested in family therapy have participated in some individual therapy first.  This service is available in the comfort of your home.
